Care & Call
Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, the Mada Care & Call program ensures those living alone receive a daily telephone check-in, providing the peace of mind and security as well as the social support you need.
A sense of belonging is core to what we do at Mada, and we have been a beacon of hope to those dealing with isolation and loneliness for over three decades.
Our parties and events bring our community together in celebration of holidays, festivals and special events and provide a support system infused with kindness and love.
At Mada, we nourish both the body and soul. Because we recognize that emotional factors play a role in poverty, we assist with referrals for counselling, domestic issues and loss.
We also ensure that milestones can be celebrated by those in need by helping with the arrangement of weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and brith milot.
Various courses are also offered to enhance life skills and heritage appreciation.
In a word: Mada means inclusion. All are included. Mada is a big, open heart.”
